Same BackupButler as used by :
Hewlett Packard to back up critical manufacturing Oracle databases,
CheckPoint, Lawrence Livermore National Labs and Sacramento County for
large 750 GB SAP databases. All real-time, non-stop bulletproof systems
designed to be plug and play.
Stackable to a Petabyte of
storage, the architecture consists of a head unit that is
from one to five rack units in size. The expansion chasis looks just
like the head unit and it can also be from one unit to five rack units
in size. You can add essentially unlimited expansion frames. The head
unit controls the stack of expansion units. The system can be ordered
with just one head unit in order to buy expansion disk later. The
system is a completely self contained appliance and you operate it from
the browser front end, you never log into the operating system of the
product. All operations are accessible from the front graphical browser
interface.
The agent is downloaded from the
appliance to your target server. The agent installs a self
contained java engine on your target server and registers itself with
the appliance. There is almost no performance impact on your database
server by the agent.
BackupButler is configured for specific market segments :
The HIPAA Butler is designed for full HIPAA compliance and targets the Healthcare and Life Sciences market.
Sarbanes-Oxley Butler targets Financial Sarbanes Oxley compliance for any corporation.
Oracle BackupButler is a general purpose fully RMAN compatible backup and recovery appliance.
Video Butler is a Broadcast Video distribution server that is fully MXF metadata and workflow distribution capable.
